Story Maps for LAND TRUSTS & NPOS
CLIENT: LA PLATA OPEN SPACE CONSERVANCY
La Plata Open Space Conservancy, based in Durango, CO, has been conserving land and water for 25 years. With protected properties across seven counties and two states totaling nearly 30,000 acres, this story map was created to bring to life the impact LPOSC's work has in protecting the area's quality of life. The map also serves as a way to connect with and educate a larger audience about how fundamental LPOSC's work is to maintaining a vibrant habitat for the plants, animals, waterways and food sources the locals have come to love and value as a part of their home.
CLIENT: AMERICAN ALPINE CLUB

The American Alpine Club asked me to develop a large poster map for their 2015 Guidebook To Membership. The guidebook goes to 30,000 members annually and serves as an important resource to members with information about the club and the perks that come with their membership. The poster map I developed was sent to every AAC member and was intended to inspire and celebrate the many climbing areas across the United States. In order to best portray each climbing area as if I was a local, I spent time research and connecting with some of the countries most iconic climbing legends. I also developed 5 icon graphics that were placed on the map indicating the location of AAC events and lodging. Final map dimensions were 36 x 21.75 inches. The AAC also utilized some of the artwork throughout the Guidebook to membership as featured below
