Seasonal Workshops Series with Sarah Uhl: a mix of self reflection, ritual, rites of passage, and creative expression designed to bring you in synch with Nature’s rhythms.
Fall Passage :: Shedding Layers
Sunday Sep 28th - Redstone, Colorado - 3-7pm
Theme: Letting go, Transitions, Gratitude
This half-day workshop will play tribute to the beauty and magic of Autumn and give you a chance to reflect on how the changes in Nature's rhythms are reflected in your own life. As the trees decorate themselves in gold and crimson hues and the daylight diminishes, we can apply these signal in Nature as signposts guiding our own lives and any transitions looming ahead. What do you need to shed after a long and active Summer? What cycle is coming to completion in your life that deserves to be honored? How does it feel to release what you no longer need?
This workshop will give you a supportive environment to connect with nature and yourself. We will spend the afternoon together in the role of the witness- reveling in Nature’s cues through gentle movement, meditation, art and play. You can expect to spend the day outdoors in deep reverence for this beautiful land in the height of Fall in the Crystal River Valley.
Our day will include a short hike, journaling, watercolor painting, crafting, guided meditation, and a few rituals. Our rituals will include alter making, weaving your own watercolor wreaths (gratitude), and letting go through a burn letter ceremony.
We will also be feasting, so plan on bringing one yummy thing to be shared in a communal picnic at the end of the workshop. More nourishment will be provided by me.
This workshop is open to all. No previous painting experience necessary.
Your registration fee includes a creativity kit with handmade watercolor paints from Greenleaf Blueberry and all additional supplies you’ll need.
