Sarah virginia uhl

Sarah is a self taught artist from Redstone, Colorado.  She uses art as a tool to connect us with one another, ourselves, and Nature.  She believes all of our answers and antidotes lie in Nature’s wisdom and her artistic creations serve as an opportunity to share this notion with others. Known for her whimsical watercolor landscape paintings, Sarah has also applied her artistic talents to work as a commercial illustrator, custom map maker, live painter, muralist, and environmental activist.  She enjoys working in partnership with brands and organizations focused on protecting our beautiful Earth.

Since becoming a Mother of two wild little boys, Sarah has shifted her artistic focus to teaching watercolor workshops and hosting Wellness Art Retreats.  Sarah offers her retreat guests an introspective experience rooted in artistic empowerment, holistic wellbeing, and deep Nature immersions.   Sarah has also developed her own line of tools for self exploration, journals, DIY painting kits, prints, cards, and soft goods featuring her artistic works.

Previous to pursuing her career as an artist in her 30’s, Sarah cut her teeth professionally in a number of arenas.  Growing up in Eastern Pennsylvania, Sarah found her stride on the Velodrome as a pro bike racer.  Racing road, track and cyclocross bikes internationally from age 14-24, she has over 20 national titles and one world championship title to her name.  After moving to Colorado in 2008, she found herself in roles at New Belgium Brewery, Big Agnes, and 5Point Film Festival.
